For years roof inspections have been performed the same way, by people climbing on the roof to gather manual measurements and inspect the roof for damage. Due to possible damage and general human error, this task can be hazardous. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics has named roofing as one of the top three most fatal professions in the U.S.
Reason 1: They are Safer
Roof inspection and replacement can be dangerous and any efforts that can be made to migrate that danger should be taken. Having someone on the roof to inspect it and taken manual measurements carries the risk of them falling. By using drone that risk can be completely eliminated.
Reason 2: They are Faster
A manual roof inspection takes time, time that can be greatly reduced with the implementation of drone technology. With a drone inspection, there is no need to set up ladders, harnesses, or other equipment. Merely establish a flight plan and allow the drone to fly itself.
Reason 3: Accurate and Reviewable Data
People make mistakes and when performing manual inspections there is always the risk of human error. By using a drone, all gathered data is stored in our cloud and available for review at any time. Drone imagery combined with AI analysis provides consistently accurate results eliminating the risk of human error.
